Quarter 2001 -- Soaring eighteen stories high and
282,550 square feet, 550 Broad Street, Newark was built in
1966. Only one block from McCarter Highway (Route 21) and a
walking distance to Newark Penn Railroad Station and the
Broad Street Railroad Station, employees and visitors of the
building can conveniently access the NJ Transit trains,
Amtrak trains, as well as the PATH lines to the World Trade
Center.
Over the past two years, 550 Broad Street underwent
extensive renovations including an enhanced streetscape
lobby, elevator and common area elements.
The exterior is comprised of limestone over concrete. A
majestic entrance customized of polished stainless steel is
utilized in the columns and revolving doors, standing bold
on the City's street.
The elegant and newly refurbished lobby was designed in
flamed and polished granite accented with cherry wood and
glass panels.
Tenants of 550 Broad Street include SBLI USA Mutual Life
Insurance Co., University Health Plans and Winning
Strategies.
