![]() BARBARA R. MARTINEZ, RPA Senior Vice President Asset Management Ms. Martinez joined
Alexander Summer, L.L.C. in November 1996 as Vice President
of Property Management, where she oversees in excess of
3,000,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. In
1998, Ms. Martinez was elevated to Senior Vice President.
Her responsibilities include all aspects of property
management, including supervision of property management
staff, vendors and contractors, and tenant relations. She
brings over 20 years' of property management experience. Prior to joining Alexander
Summer, L.L.C., Ms. Martinez was Property Manager with the
Edward S. Gordon Company in New York City, where she was
responsible for management of a 48-story, 1.4 million square
foot commercial building, and subsequently was part of the
start up management team for a 1.7 million square foot
office/retail property. Her duties included the supervision
of the day-to-day operations of the properties and staff,
planning and implementing capital improvements, budget
preparation and variance analysis, and tenant retention. Ms. Martinez has previous
experience as General Manager of a 750,000-square foot
commercial/retail office project in White Plains, New York.
In this capacity, she directed an $8 million capital
improvement program, and was responsible for all building
operations, including financial reporting and projections,
training and supervision of building personnel/staff, lease
administration and tenant retention. Ms. Martinez was also
responsible for the opening, staffing and operation of a
newly-constructed 220,000-square foot commercial/retail
office building in White Plains for Homart Development
Company. She also served as General Manager of various
suburban office properties located throughout Westchester
County, New York for Northbrook Realty Group and Schulman
Realty Group. In addition to her
extensive background in real estate management, Ms. Martinez
is an accomplished professional and a hard working team
player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ms. Martinez served as President of the Westchester chapter
of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) from
1991-1993, in recognition of her leadership position among
her peers in the real estate community. She received her
Real Property Manager certification from BOMA in 1989 and
attended Drew University and Pace University to study
Business Administration. |
